If you're a swordsman, Vran armour, crafted from the armour of Ysgith and Vran armour enhancements.Ĭhap 3 steel sword: Caerme. In my opinion, Gwyhyr is the most GORGEOUS sword in the game (wavy blade).Ĭhap 3 armour: if you're a spell caster armour of Ysgith, found in the Loc Muinne sewers, the culmination of the Mystic River multi-chapter quest. In addition, on Iorveth's path, you can get an even better steel sword for completing Baltimore's nightmare sidequest: Gwyhyr.

#Witcher 2 meteorite steel poker quest Patch
If you've got patch 1.2, he should be there in chapters 1 and 2. You can buy it right at the start of the chapter from the Mysterious Merchant. Yellow does less damage.Ĭhap 2 steel sword, Poison Zerrikanian Saberra, both paths. Best choice is to craft yourself a blue or red robust meteorite sword depending on you experience path (30-33 base damage). On Iorveth's path, I don't think you can find it, but you only go into these tunnels at the very end of the chapter anyway. Find it in the tunnels that let you sneak into Vergen. On Roche's path, you only get the best armour when you're ready to cross the mist: Zireael's armour.Ĭhap 2 silver sword, Roche's path: Blood sword. There's also armor of Loc Muinne which is apparently equivalent, but you can get the Dragon scale pretty much at the beginning of the chapter. Don't waste your orens on that one if you're on Iorveth's path, because:Ĭhap 2 armour Iroveth's Path: Dragon scale armour that you can buy from an elf in the merchant's section before the gate once the War Council is done. Craftable from the diagram you get for killing the Kayran. You have to buy the diagram and have it crafted.Ĭhap 1 armour: Kayran carapace armour. You need silver ore to make it, but that component is hard to find, you'll probably have to buy some from the craftsman.Ĭhap 1 steel sword: Jagged blade. It has only 1 rune slot, but even without enhancement it's better than Aerondight with it's 3 slots loaded. Craftable from a diagram that you get for completing both the Nekker and Endrega contracts. At base damage of 11-14, it's better than any steel sword you can import from the first game.Ĭhap 1 silver sword: Witcher's superb silver sword. The best steel sword is a simple Temerian sword that can be found behind a wall breakable with aard in the drowner infested passage into the temple. They don't mention the Prologue, but in my opinion, the best silver sword is either Moonblade of Aerondight, of course. For each chapter, there's an introduction section and in it they give the best equipment you can get for that chapter and how you can get it. It's the Witcher 2 section of Gamebanshee.

(ot but while we're at it I'd retex the ysgith and dragonscale too :P If wanting to use the new raven armour I would also reccommend this: You may have to edit some xml files to get this to work with the zero weight schematics mod. Personally I enjoy using new/different weapons but for those interested it can be downloaded here:
#Witcher 2 meteorite steel poker quest mod
Strongly reccommend the robust blue meteorite for magic builds :)Įdit: Also, if anyone is interested there is a mod on nexus which lets you upgrade the imported items such as the moonblade, rune sihil, and raven armour. Negotiator is ok but as was said only obtained towards the end of the level (similar to blood) and imho not quite as good. On Iorveth I would reccommend a robust blue/yellow depending on your build - both can be crafted in vergen/camp or bought from the mysterious merchant. Phaxion: Blood Sword seems to be best silver sword in chapter 2.Ĭan be found deep inside the cave under Vergen true, very nice sword for Roche's path. Just run back and forth between them and buy all you need :) You'll see the loading circle pop up in the bottom right. I think the best possible option regarding silver swords is to buy the design of Zerrikanwert -or something like that- or the High Quality Metheoritical Swords from the sorcerer-smith you run into in the main square of the ruined city in chapter 3 and make him forge those swords -although I couldn't because I didn't had any silver ore on me when I bought the designs and I didn't found enough silver in that chapter- Merchants reload stock when you pass a loading screen and there is one conveniently inbetween bras of ban ard and the circus couple just outside (towards the conference). That sword will do the thing for most of the game, but I didn't found it good enough when fighting the monster you find exclusively in chapter 3. And believe me, when I fought the last monster boss -some will know who I am talking about- I regret not having obtained a better silver sword. when I played in Hard I used Negotiator since I found it right to the end of the game.
